Around 30 vehicles fitted with surveillance cameras will be patrolling the city<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
More than 1,000 police personnel, including 10 assistant commissioners, 15 circle inspectors and 90 sub-inspectors would be on the job round-the-clock this week. Apart from the 231 existing surveillance cameras, more than a 100 cameras will be installed at Kanakakkunnu, Shangumugham, Poojappura, Central Stadium, East Fort and Veli. Around 30 vehicles fitted with surveillance cameras will be patrolling the city to check pickpockets and eve-teasers.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s not all, around 250 specially-trained Shadow Police team, including women personnel, and led by the Assistant Commissioner (Control Room) would be assisting the Booster and Bike Patrols on the roads.<\/p>\n
Control rooms to be opened!<\/h3>\n
Special control rooms would be opened at Kanakakunnu, Poojappura, Central Stadium, East Fort and Kovalam, while 11 Control Room vehicles would be making the rounds across the city. Patrolling would be intensified on the bypass. The police have asked organisers of adventure rides at various places in the city to ensure fitness certificates.
