<\/p>\nArteria, an art project to turn city walls into one long canvas will be extended to other parts of the city.<\/p>\n
The Phase-1 of the project was successfully completed at the walls of the University Stadium, where 21 established artists participated. As part of the initiative the walls of University Stadium have been painted with colourful images themes related to the city\u2019s rich culture and heritage.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Kerala Tourism is yet to identify venues for the second phase of the project. One of the sites, which is under consideration for executing the project, is Kanakakkunnu boundary walls.<\/p>\n

There are also plans to add more works to the existing \u2018Arteria\u2019 wall, so that the entire wall becomes a one long canvas. Currently, it covers a length of 1000 feet. Other idea is to have an open canvass, where the work will be changed every three months. Sun shade will also be built to protect the \u2018Arteria\u2019 wall from rain and sun.<\/p>\n

The project will be expanded further depending on sponsorship availability. The authorities said that they have already started receiving sponsorship interests from different organisations. Many private enterprises have come forward to support the project and want it to be executed on their walls.<\/p>\n

Other than the involvement of established artists, Arteria also provides scope for aspiring artists and students who can send their sample works of art enabling a public participation in the project.<\/p>\n
