Named Aries Epica, a venture owned by the Aries Group, studio promises to match up with the cutting-edge technology in animation industry in world cinema.<\/p>\n
Epica is also planning to enter into Animatronics , the use of robotic devices to bring lifelike characters.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
“The animation and VFX market worldwide is booming and there is a lot of work they are outsourcing from India. With the Epica Studio and Academy, we aim to tap the talent from India and make them experts in animatronics to meet the global expectations<\/em>,” said Roy, CEO and founder, Aries Group of Companies and Epica Studio.<\/p>\n
The studio, set in 16,000 sq ft space at Ganga in Technopark Phase III, will cater to delivery of high quality 2D\/3D animation, visual effects and stereoscopic 3D content conversion.<\/p>\n
“Epica will be an international hub for entertainment industry, serving visual effects, 2D\/3D animation and stereoscopic. We have dedicated professionals working from this studio and providing services to our clients in US, Canada, Europe and Middle East<\/em>,” said Jeemon Pullely, managing director, Epica Studio.<\/p>\n
Epica is also planning to enter into Animatronics (use of robotic devices to bring lifelike characters). The studio is engaged in an effort to get MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) certification. If it gets the certification, then it will be the third advanced studio of its kind in India, after Mumbai and Chennai.<\/p>\n
The new space will also house Epica Academy — the first-of-its-kind 3D Stereoscopic Film Academy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

At present, the company employs 264 professionals and aims at employing nearly 3,000 persons, who have undergone the necessary training, within five years.<\/p>\n
Based out in India, the company has set up marketing hubs in US, Finland, China, Italy and UAE. In Epica Studio along with their technology partner Dimenco launched a revolutionary project — the Glasses-free 3D TV at Gitex Dubai.<\/p>\n
