As part of Kazhakootam-Mukkola Bypass road widening project, the area between Kazhakootam Junction and Technopark will get flyovers and underpasses.<\/p>\n

The double decker flyovers will be based on global standards and will be similar to Santacruz-Chembur Link road at Mumbai.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

An underpass will be constructed inform of the Technopark Main gate while double-decker flyovers will be constructed at Kazhakootam Junction. For this the Central Government has allloted a sum of Rs 30 crore.<\/p>\n

The double decker flyovers will be based on global standards and will be similar to Santacruz-Chembur Link road at Mumbai. It will be the first of its kind flyover in Kerala. \u00a0When it gets completed, vehicle coming to the junction can enter or leave the bypass without having to wait for signal crossing.<\/p>\n

The underpass at Technopark will solve the hectic daily traffic jam at the main gate. Apart from this, a ring road will be constructed around Technopark.\u00a0 There will be need for wider roads and flyovers in the area as the number of employees working here is increasing constantly. With the widening of the road, traffic snarls can be avoided in the area providing smooth flow to in and out of Technopark. Moreover, in order to compete with IT parks if metro cities, infrastructure around Technopark seriously needs to be upgraded. This can be partially achieved through the development of bypass.<\/p>\n

The design of the flyover and underpass will be completed in one year and the construction will be started by December.<\/p>\n

Earlier Gtech (Group of Technology Companies) demanded to include flyovers and underpasses in the area to the Chief Minister who then forwarded the petition to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
