{"id":24045,"date":"2015-09-08T12:56:44","date_gmt":"2015-09-08T07:26:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/?p=24045"},"modified":"2015-09-08T12:56:44","modified_gmt":"2015-09-08T07:26:44","slug":"i-ride-with-india-a-huge-success-in-trivandrum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/i-ride-with-india-a-huge-success-in-trivandrum\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018I Ride with India\u2019 a huge success in Trivandrum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over 70 cyclists in Trivandrum took part in the nationwide event called &#8216;I ride with India&#8217;, as they set out together with 10,000 others across the country last week.\u00a0 Their mission was to spread the message that cycling is a great sport which can be taken up by everyone.<\/p>\n<p>An initiative of Hyderabad-based cycling group Cycling India, &#8216;I ride with India&#8217;\u00a0was a nationwide campaign to promote cycling and environment conservation. \u00a0The event was spread across 100 cities in India. And in Trivandrum, the event was organised by Indus Cycling Embassy with the support of IISER Bikers and Elaveyil Maruthumkuzhi. I Ride with India was also conducted in Kochi and Kozhikode.<\/p>\n<p>The cyclists began at Manaveeyam Veedhi and cycled through Museum, Palayam, Central Stadium, Secretariat, University College, LMS and Kowdiar. The riders returned to Manaveeyam Veedhi covering a distance of over 10 kilometres.<\/p>\n<p>Indus Cycling Embassy is also conducting it&#8217;s monthly &#8216;Second Saturday Ride on the coming Saturday ( 12\/9\/2015).
