Federation of Indigenous Apiculturists (FIA) is hosting a honey fest called \u2018Thenutsavam-2015\u2019 which will focus on spreading the importance of honey.<\/p>\n
Exhibition of various kinds of honey will be held at VJT Hall during the festival.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

With the honey fest FIA aims to promote employment scope of apiculturists by utilizing various apiculture technologies developed by Kerala Agricultural University.\u00a0 Beginners in Apiculture would be given training during the fest.<\/p>\n
The public will get to know about the different varieties of honey and their importance.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
On the first day, there will be a talk on \u2018Bee Keeping and Rural Economy\u2019 and on the second day there will be a seminar on \u2018Food security and honey bees\u2019. Third day will have seminar on \u2018Bee keeping and employment opportunity\u2019.\u00a0 An interactive session on the importance of Honey Mission will also be held. Apart from this, the public will also have an opportunity to know about the different varieties of honey and their importance.<\/p>\n
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the four-day fest, which is being held in collaboration with the State Horticulture Mission, Kerala Agriculture University, Horticorp and State Biodiversity Board. Agriculture Minister K P Mohanan, Health Minister V S Sivakumar, Finance minister K M Mani, Horticorp Chairman Lal Varghese Kalpakavadi, FIA general secretary A Abdul Kalam, FIA president K K Thomas and others will be present.<\/p>\n
