Though the project was first mooted in January this year, various factors delayed its implementation.\u00a0The first-of-its-kind initiative is an extension of a scheme originally meant for girls\u2019 schools run by the city corporation.<\/p>\n
Trivandrum city Corporation will install 25 automatic napkin vending machine in the initial phase. These machines also come with incinerators in view of growing complaints regarding unscientific disposal of sanitary waste in most offices.<\/p>\n
The facility can be availed at a cost of Rs 5 per napkin. These vending machines would work like ATMs.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The places include Secretariat, PSC office, Public office, Swaraj Bhavan, Vydyuthi bhavan, Women’s College Vazuthcaud, Neeramankara Women’s College, Kaimanam Polytechnic College, Corporation office, Fort Zonal Office, PMG SC\/ST Women’s hostel, Sreekanteswaram Vanitha Hostel.<\/p>\n
The price and installation of each machine will range between Rs 40,000 and 42,000. An amount of Rs 30 lakh has been allotted for the scheme. \u00a0The project is being implemented by the health-wing of the corporation.\u00a0Hindustan Life Care Agency is the implementing agency behind the project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
