Minister for Public Works V.K. Ebrahim Kunju told that the government was determined to complete the work by November.<\/p>\n<p>The pending works include surfacing with BM &amp; BC (bituminous macadam and bituminous concrete) of the Overbridge-East Fort and Peroorkada-Vazhayila stretches, and service road development of the newly opened Melepazhavangady flyover. TRDCL the implementing agency behind the CRIP, has been given instructions to complete the BM &amp; BC works at East Fort and the Peroorkada-Vazhayila stretch first. However, intermittent rain is hindering the TRDCL from completing the BM &amp; BC works and the overlay.<\/p>\n<p>The last work to be completed will be the covering of the 300-metre \u2018nullah\u2019 with pre-stressed, twin box-like culverts that started January this year. A 60-metere long footpath at Kaithamukku and construction of water draining system is also progressing.<\/p>\n<p>Profile corrections and overlay of the corridors developed in Phase I and II are also remaining. Profile correction is the process of rectifying localised defects such potholes instead of re-tarring the entire stretch. The cost of the repairs to be undertaken will come to Rs.7 crore. In CRIP roads such as in Kowdiar and Vellayambalam, a BM &amp; BC topping has already been given as there were minor depressions due to heavy traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, state government announced <a href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/rs-1061-crore-massive-development-projects-awaits-trivandrum-city\/\" target=\"_blank\">Phase-2 development projects for Trivandrum<\/a> under Capital Region Development Programme (CRDP) at <strong>Rs.1,061 Crore<\/strong>.
