The students at the Model school, Thycaud can now have the best-in-class reading experience as the school library has been renovated and added with new books as part of ‘Mission Model School 21 C – a model for all’.<\/p>\n
More than 3000 new books have been added and 10 additional computers have been installed at the school library. The new polished furniture will give the library a fresh look.<\/p>\n
All unread books were retrieved and around 7,000 old damaged books were hard bound.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Currently, the school library has a collection of 10,000 books<\/strong> in total. The books from the old collection of the library were sorted, which according to its record included 25,000 books. However, more than half of the books has been lost due to lack of maintenance.<\/p>\n
Ten new computers have been installed in the library with which both students and teachers can access the online editions of books, journals and other internet facilities. Soon, a library portal will be setup and will be shared with other institutions, in which the digital materials in the library will be made accessible to the public.<\/p>\n

‘Mission Model School 21 C – a model for all’ is an initiative of the alumni association and school authorities as part of which the school will be elevated to international standards.
