{"id":24527,"date":"2015-10-13T12:20:21","date_gmt":"2015-10-13T06:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/?p=24527"},"modified":"2015-10-13T12:20:21","modified_gmt":"2015-10-13T06:50:21","slug":"save-a-life-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/save-a-life-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"An Auto-rickshaw driver might be your life-saver in case of an accident!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Now thousands auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers in the city will become life savers for the road accident victims.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the \u2018<strong>Save a Life<\/strong>\u2019 campaign by MBBS students of Trivandrum Medical College, thousands of taxi and auto drivers were imparted training in first aid. The drivers were taught to give first-aid and transport injured persons to hospitals. Those who completed the training were also given certificates. 500 students of schools and colleges were also roped for the training programme started by the medical graduates who will pass out from the college, this November.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from providing training in first aid, another objective of the \u2018Save a Life\u2019 campaign is to help IMA in re-launching ACTFORCE a programme that will help save valuable time in providing appropriate medical aid to needy people. \u00a0The campaign was held in association with Janamaithri Police, Motor Vehicle Department, IMA Kerala and Concept group.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the health wing of Trivandrum City Corporation has proposed an innovative accident care mission by<a href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/auto-rickshaw-drivers-to-take-the-role-of-ambulance-service\/\" target=\"_blank\"> incorporating auto-rickshaw drivers in the city<\/a>.
