In a major boost to the tourism dreams of Capital city, Kerala Government has announced projects worth Rs 27.26 crore for Trivandrum.<\/p>\n
Tourism Minister A P Anilkumar announced that a sum of Rs 27.26 crore<\/strong> will be allotted to Trivandrum to implement various tourisms projects.<\/p>\n Project Arteria, the street-wall beautification project has received Rs 37 lakh. While Perumathura beach, the newest hangout place in Trivandrum gets Rs 3 crore to develop the beach into a tourist spot. For the development of Neyyar Dam tourist centre, Rs 4.65 crore has been allotted. Towards improving the basic facilities for tourists and ensuring their safety on Kovalam beach, there is an approval for Rs 57.35 lakh.<\/p>\n While other districts in the state also got a boost, Capital city got the majority of the funding. Other major projects and the amounts are as follows:<\/p>\n Revival of Sarovaram Biopark, Kozhikode (Rs 57.35 lakh), Balussery Tourism Corridor renovation (Rs 50 lakh) in Kozhikode district, Beypore Tourist Centre development (Rs 47 lakh), Kappad Thoovappara beach development (Rs 36.25 lakh), Vilangamkunnu tourist centre, Thrissur (Rs 2 crore), Yathri Nivas for Athirappilly (Rs 5 crore) and tracking facility to ensure safety of house boats (Rs 1.60 crore).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" In a major boost to the tourism dreams of Capital city, Kerala Government has announced projects worth Rs 27.26 crore for Trivandrum.
