{"id":25136,"date":"2016-01-04T16:23:01","date_gmt":"2016-01-04T10:53:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/?p=25136"},"modified":"2016-01-04T22:22:43","modified_gmt":"2016-01-04T16:52:43","slug":"passes-for-visiting-agasthyakoodam-from-january-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/passes-for-visiting-agasthyakoodam-from-january-11\/","title":{"rendered":"Passes for visiting Agasthyakoodam from January 11!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Agasthyarkoodam, which is part of the Western Ghats, will be opened for pilgrims and trekkers from January 15.<\/p>\n<p>People interested will be able to visit Agasthyarkoodam from <strong>January 15<\/strong>, the Makaravilakku day, until <strong>March 7<\/strong>, when Maha Shivaratri will be celebrated.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Each pass will cost Rs.500 per person.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The passes for visiting the hills will be issued by the Forest Department from 11 a.m. on<strong> January 11 onwards<\/strong>. Bookings can be made online through the official portal of the department. The maximum number of passes that will be issued for each day has been limited to 100. You can get your passes from the office of the Wildlife Warden located at PTP Nagar, Trivandrum.<\/p>\n<p>Each pass will cost Rs.500 per person. Each group can get only 3 passes and the group leader will have to submit any identity cards of the other two members. You can use voters ID, Pan Card, Passport, Driving license or any other identity cards issued by any government departments.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A forest guide appointed by the Eco-Development Committee will assist the trekkers who will cover a distance of 24 km.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A forest guide appointed by the Eco-Development Committee will assist the trekkers who will cover a distance of 24 km.\u00a0 Temporary camp shed and canteen facilities have been put in place for the trekkers.<\/p>\n<p>You are not allowed to carry substances like plastic, liquor and other intoxicants to the forest. Smoking and cooking of food inside the forest is also prohibited by the Forest Department.
