This great initiative is instigated by Stark ad agency with the support of SilkAir (Title Sponsor), IBS Software Services Private Ltd and KIMS Hospital. The event will be flagged off from Manaveeyam Road and cycling route comprises of Vellayambalam\u2013Kowdiar\u2013Pattom\u2013PMG-Vellayambalam circuit.<\/p>\n<p>The event will feature 3 different categories namely Champions Ride, Trivandrum Fitness Ride and Stark Kids Fitness Ride. The Champions Ride will cover a distance of 40 km and is open to those above 18 only; the Trivandrum Fitness Ride over a distance of 14 km which is for children aged 13 and above and the Stark Kids Fun Ride of 2.5 km is for children between 10 and 12. The time allotted for the Champions Ride is two hours, while the Fitness Ride needs to be completed in an hour. The Champions Ride will be flagged off at 5 am by District Collector Shri Biju Prabhakar. The Fitness Ride will begin at 7 am and the Kids Fun Ride by 8 am.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-25591\" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2016\/02\/trivandrum-cyclathon-pressrelease.jpg\" alt=\"trivandrum-cyclathon-pressrelease\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2016\/02\/trivandrum-cyclathon-pressrelease.jpg 600w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2016\/02\/trivandrum-cyclathon-pressrelease-222x148.jpg 222w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The event is conducted with the support of city\u2019s leading cycling groups Trivandrum Bikers Club and the Indus Cycling Embassy. The event has already gained good response with 165 registrations already, featuring a 61-year-old participant in the Champions Ride! With such good response and a fine way to encourage healthy lifestyle, the organizers hope to turn this into annual event for all cycling enthusiasts. The Champions Ride carries a total cash prize of Rs 50,000.
