Volunteers from WWF for nature, IT employees, college students and members of various other organizations actively participated in the initiative. The participants collected the wastes scattered on the beach in the trash bags they brought for the event.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The participants collected the wastes scattered on the beach in the trash bags they brought for the event.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The cleaning equipments for the event were sponsored by the employees of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). WWF-India also installed six garbage bins for the visitors to dispose the waste. They have also urged the public to make effective use of these bins to make the beach waste free and thereby reducing the workload for cleaning staff. Another striking segment of the event was the painting session by students of Fine Arts College on the outer wall of Shangumugham Indoor stadium for giving it a creative revamp. KMOC is really happy with the response for the event and hope to continue the cleaning drive in other beaches of the district too.
