As per the reports, the initiative is primarily for those who have no one to take care off. Those recommended by various NGOs and people of different areas will be allotted a space here. The old age home is expected to have different amenities for the inhabitants. The plans include setting up of a prayer centre, recreation centre, a garden and farming activities for them. Provision for counseling along with a health care centre under the Urban Health Mission will also be done.<\/p>\n

The officials also plan to house elderly people from the nearby Kalladimugham housing project, provided there are adequate reasons. The Corporation will be appointing volunteers to serve as an aid for the inhabitants. However, the payment for the volunteers needs to be fixed first.
