The design of the proposed flyover at Kazhakootam junction are in the final stage. The idea of flyover is to the ease congestion on the NH bypass near Technopark entrance.<\/p>\n
Two layouts designed by NHAI will be sent its headquarters at New Delhi within two weeks for final approval. Once NHAI gets the approval, the construction work is likely to begin in three months\u2019 time.<\/p>\n

The first design proposes a 1.2 kilometre long flyover with no footpaths and there will be provision two-way traffic with the areas demarcated using medians. Meanwhile in the second design, the flyover has the same length f 1.2 metres and width of 19.5 metres but has an additional 1.5 metre for the footpath on the either sides.<\/p>\n
The flyover starts at a distance of 200 metres from Kazhakootam junction towards Kaniyapuram and ends at 300 metres from Kazhakootam junction towards the NH bypass stretch near Technopark.<\/p>\n

It has been a long pending demand to de-congest the NH bypass in front of the main gate of Technopark, where about 50,000 people are working.
