As per the report, villages like Peringamala, Palode, Vithura, Kuttichal, Aryanad, Pangode in Kallara, Karimkulam, Poovar and Anchuthengu are suffering from serious water crisis, both for drinking water and agriculture purposes in the past two months. Ground-level reports apart, various studies too have indicated a considerable dip in groundwater table in the Athiannoor and Chirayinkeezhu blocks. Only possible way to improve the ground water table is to store as much water as possible during monsoons.<\/p>\n
