Trivandrum City corporation has launched WhatsApp service where public lodge complaint regarding dumping of waste in public places or related matters. All you have to do is to take picture of the garbage and send it to Corporation’s WhatsApp number along with location, the civic body will rush over and clean-up the area. You can also complaint, if people burn plastic or dump garbage in the cover of night.<\/p>\n

The initiative is being launched in association with Vodafone and the number is 7034232323<\/strong>.\u00a0 Daily cleaning activities conducted in health circles will be sent to this number. Voice call facility won’t be available on this number, but people can make calls to 0471-2320821<\/strong> or to the number of night squad which is 9496434517<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For this, the city will be divided into 19 zones and help from Indian army, Students Police cadets and other volunteers will be taken.
