The land acquisition for the Light Metro project in Trivandrum got a boost as the government appointed a special officer to oversee land acquisition works.<\/p>\n
Kerala Rapid Transit Corporation Limited (KRTL) has prepared a plan for and acquisition, which will be submitted to the district administration soon. Once the proposal is scrutinized by the PWD and is passed to the revenue department. The deputy collector (LA) will be the special officer and will initiate paper works for land acquisition as per the proposal of KRTL.<\/p>\n
It is estimated that KRTL will have to acquire around 1.98 hectares for stations and 2.77 hectares for flyovers from prime areas in the city.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
