Mayor V.K. Prasanth inaugurated the renovated park and open air auditorium at Pettah. The renovation project was carried out as part of Trivandrum Corporation\u2019s project to transform such public places that have fallen into disuse. The Pettah Park is the second park in the city to be renovated after the new council took charge last year.<\/p>\n

For many years, the park has been neglected and was in a dilapidated condition. Now the park has been renovated with interlocking tiles and landscaped with beautiful lawns. There are also numerous trees that give plenty of shade. It now contains an open air auditorium, jogging area, and a garden. The new open air auditorium can be used for hosting public functions.\u00a0 A moderate fee will be fixed for using the auditorium to conduct small public functions. The Corporation will also appoint a security guard and a gardener to ensure proper upkeep of the space.<\/p>\n
