The plan has been submitted for approval at NHAI headquarters and the work is expected to start soon. The objective of these additional underpasses is to reduce the traffic congestion at certain junctions along the bypass. An additional 10% of the total amount will be sanctioned for the construction of underpasses.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-27123 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2016\/10\/KAzhakootam-Bypass-1.jpg\" alt=\"kazhakootam-bypass\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2016\/10\/KAzhakootam-Bypass-1.jpg 960w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2016\/10\/KAzhakootam-Bypass-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2016\/10\/KAzhakootam-Bypass-1-684x513.jpg 684w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2016\/10\/KAzhakootam-Bypass-1-120x90.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Another flyover proposed is at Kazhakootam in front of the Technopark to reduce the severe traffic block experienced daily at the Technopark Main gain. The flyover will start from in front of the Kazhakootam Police station to Technopark Main gate. The 1.2Km proposed flyover is expected to cost Rs.145 crore. The design of the proposed flyover was sent to NHAI headquarters seven months ago for approval.
