Kazhakootam-Mukkola Nh by Pass will have 3 more vehicular underpasses apart from the earlier planned underpass at Chakka.<\/p>\n

The underpasses will come up at Venpalavattom, Eenchakkal and at Kallumoodu Junction. The plan has been submitted for approval at NHAI headquarters and the work is expected to start soon. The objective of these additional underpasses is to reduce the traffic congestion at certain junctions along the bypass. An additional 10% of the total amount will be sanctioned for the construction of underpasses.<\/p>\n

Another flyover proposed is at Kazhakootam in front of the Technopark to reduce the severe traffic block experienced daily at the Technopark Main gain. The flyover will start from in front of the Kazhakootam Police station to Technopark Main gate. The 1.2Km proposed flyover is expected to cost Rs.145 crore. The design of the proposed flyover was sent to NHAI headquarters seven months ago for approval. But the project is still awaiting approval from the NHAI officials.<\/p>\n

\"bypass-trivandrum\"<\/p>\n

At present, there will be a railway over bridge at Chakka and bridges at Thiruvallom and Akkulam and a flyover from Eenchakkal and Chakkai connecting Trivandrum International Airport Terminal-2 with the NH-Bypass. This flyover will merge with the current ramp eliminating the need for demolishing the Airport ramp saving an amount of Rs.30 core.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
