Cricketer and MP Sachin Tendulkar proposed a blueprint to find sporting talent among Indians through Facebook, YouTube and mobile phones. The plan is to invite potential sportspersons to post or upload or even SMS their credentials and the best individuals among them will be given expert training to hone their skills. Tendulkar wants \u201csystemic changes\u201d to realise the dream of \u201csports for all\u201d.<\/p>\n
Sachin Tendulkar provided a roadmap to make India a “successful multi sports nation\u201d while at a presentation with the Human Resource Ministry. The HRD ministry has considered Sachin’s initiative and has invited him for a detailed discussion.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe welcome Sachin Tendulkar\u2019s proposal and I have already written to him inviting him for a presentation so that the details can be talked through. Once that is done, we will ask both CBSE and NCERT to look into how sports can be made an integral part of the school curriculum\u201d said Kabil Sibal-HRD Minister<\/p>\n
Phase 1 is to integrate sports in education and make it compulsory subject of study. He also recommends setting up national sports museum to remember our sport stars.<\/p>\n
Phase 2 is to develop a US model method which draws its Olympians from the university level. In addition to that State of the art Sports facilities with International standards will be established in five academic institutions across the country- one each in north, south, east, west and northeast. This will help to integrate sports with higher education.<\/p>\n
Phase-3 will give emphasis to \u2018production of future champions\u2019 and ‘high performance sport\u2019 which will be achieved through centres for sporting excellence to be established by the Ministry of Sports.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
