Medical college Hospital have introduced card payment system for the patients to pay their bills. The decision to introduce credit card\/debit card facility to make payments came in the wake of the crisis following demonetisation of currencies in the denomination of 500, 1,000.<\/p>\n
The card payment facility will be available at community payment counter, CT scan, MRI scan and HDS lab. The facility is being introduced in cooperation with SBT Medical College branch. All other counters will have this facility within a week. The card payment facility was jointly inaugurated by SBT Medical College branch manager Dileep Kumar and medical college superintendent M S Sharmad.<\/p>\n
Earlier, state human rights commission (SHRC) has asked a report from the director of health services and superintendent of medical college regarding steps taken by the authorities to ensure comfort of patients and relatives at hospitals in the wake of demonetisation of 500 and 1,000 currencies.<\/p>\n
SHRC has directed hospitals that no one should be denied medical treatment just because they don\u2019t have currency notes. Further they stated that patients or their helpers should not face any difficulty in hospitals, hospital canteens and related establishments in hospitals in the circumstances following demonetisation of Rs.500 and Rs.1,000 currency notes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
