Based on the New York&#8217;s bus terminal, &#8216;City Kaumudi&#8217; recently published a similar development model for our East Fort.<\/p>\n<p>If it is implemented here at East Fort the advantages to the city and the commuters are many. \u00a0Here are some of the advantages listed by &#8216;City Kaumudi&#8217; if their design was implemented.<\/p>\n<p>For starters, the proposed model will enhance the beauty and the heritage \u2018old-world charm\u2019 of East Fort to a great extent. It will also expand the beautiful Gandhi Park to 1.13 acre from the current 75 cents. At a time, around 60 buses can depart and arrive at the Terminal. As per the model, this complex will have the capacity to park 325 cars and 900 two wheelers. But even back then, they had one thing we still don\u2019t have &#8211; &#8216;Farsightedness&#8217;. They anticipated city&#8217;s growth and made the terminal to handle the traffic of the future. Unfortunately, our authorities here are only looking for short-term solutions.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Coming back to New York, the Port Authority Bus Terminal was constructed during the 1960, 56 years ago.
