In a bid to ease the commuting on KSRTC buses, the government will soon introduce pre-paid cards for passengers.<\/p>\n
The cards will offer unlimited travel for a month and can be renewed at the end of it. The prepaid cards will be in the range from Rs.1000 to Rs.5000. At the end of each month, travellers can recharge the card online or at bus stations.<\/p>\n

Your ID card number will be printed on the prepaid card. While boarding the bus, you need to show both your ID card and prepaid card to the conductor.<\/p>\n
There are four types of cards<\/h2>\n
Starting at Rs.1000 is the Bronze Card with which you can travel via ordinary and limited services within a district.<\/p>\n
Next is the Silver card worth Rs.1500 where you can travel anywhere in limited and ordinary services.<\/p>\n
Third is the Gold Card at Rs.3000 aimed at long-distance travellers, who can travel anywhere in fast and superfast buses.<\/p>\n
Finally, at Rs.5000\/- you have the premium card using which you can travel in all buses including the AC Volvo. But KSRTC Scania buses are not part of the premium card offer.<\/p>\n
With this new system, clashes between passengers and bus conductors over change will be a thing of the past.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
