The company claims the new <em>Thunderbird 500<\/em> will enhance the pleasure of leisure motorcycling.<\/p>\n<p>The Thunderbird 500 is powered by a 500cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke petrol motor and has the ability to deliver a stunning 27.2BHP and 4.17kgm of torque. It has the very same engine that powers the Royal Enfield Classic 500.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Thunderbird brand has built its own cult following amongst Royal Enfield customers, as a comfortable touring motorcycle,&#8221; said Siddhartha Lal, CEO of Eicher Motors, a Royal Enfield division.<\/p>\n<p>The T&#8217;Bird can cruise at a top speed of 130KPH but you will only feel like you are cruising at 80-100KPH and this is what we call &#8216;Stability&#8217;. It also has five-speed gearbox shifts in the one-down, four-up pattern. The comfortable riding saddle and forward shifted rider&#8217;s foot pegs will make sure you are having a nice time riding the Thunder&#8217;bird 500.<\/p>\n<h2>Thunderbrid 500 500<\/strong> is equipped with many stylish new instruments such as a projector headlamp, digital-cum-analogue instrument console, 20-litre fuel tank, blackened engine unit, improved oval-section swing-arm, bungee anchors to accommodate luggage, LED tail-lamps and a rear disc brake. It also has hazard lamp in the switch gear, first for a motorcycle manufactured in India. The fuel tank is larger and is well-proportioned with the filler lid. You can increase the luggage room by removing the pillion seat. The 500 also gets an improved exhaust and Royal Enfield logos for its foot pegs.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We hope that with Thunderbird 500, our customers will see affirmation of the fact that Royal Enfield is a company bent on listening, imagining and delivering,&#8221; said Venki Padmanabhan, CEO, Royal Enfield.<\/p>\n<h3>Price of Thunderbird 500 in India<\/h3>\n<p>Thunderbird 500 is available at <strong>Rs 1,82,571 (on road price for Mumbai)<\/strong>. The company also launched a revised edition of <strong>Thunderbird 350 for Rs 1,30,086<\/strong> which comes with the features borrowed from Thunderbird 500. Unlike Thunderbird 500, it is powered by the traditional carburettor-fed 346cc engine.<\/p>\n<p>Royal Enfield has also introduced their own range of riding gear for the ultimate leisure motorcycling. The new riding gear includes a Helmet, Eye wear, Gloves, Motorcycle Boots, Riding Trousers and a Riding jacket.
