Kochi 1 Smart Card For Metro Can Replace Your Regular Debit Card!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kochi-1 the prepaid smart card which allows the user to travel in the Kochi Metro will be launched by Union Urban Development Minister Venkiah Naidu at the inaugural\u00a0day while Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will launch the Kochi-1 mobile app.<\/p>\n<p>Kochi-1 card is aimed at cashless travel in trains, and also for commercial transactions just like regular debit cards. This is not just a travel card it is much more. The app would be activated a few days after the launch.<\/p>\n<h2>Kochi-1 Smart card is much more<\/h2>\n<p>Commuters can purchase the Kochi-1 Card from metro stations by providing KYC Details such as your phone number and date of birth. Commuters can do transactions up to \u20b910,000 every month by using the card. They can do transactions of up to \u20b91 lakh per month if they submit ID proof.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-27948 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2017\/06\/Kochi-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2017\/06\/Kochi-1.jpeg 800w, https:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2017\/06\/Kochi-1-768x430.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>How it works<\/h2>\n<p>As an issuance fee, a sum of Rs150 will be charged and the first top-up will be for Rs.200. Subsequent top-ups can be done from \u20b9100 and upwards.\u00a0 Kochi Metro will soon open special Kiosks at select locations to popularise the card. For the people who are not a frequent traveller in Metro can purchase normal tickets from counters manned by Kudumbasree workers at each station.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-27949 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/entecity.com\/news\/files\/2017\/06\/Kochi1-smart-card.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"456\" height=\"247\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate Kochi metro here on Saturday at 11am<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>\u2018Snehayathra\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Before the Metro is opened to members of the public, KMMRL will conduct a \u201cSnehayathra\u201d for people from neglected sections of society.
