When the world celebrates World Food Day on the 16th<\/sup> of October, KEY (Key for Educated Youth), a youth association in the country has resolved to celebrate October 15th<\/sup> as a \u2018Zero Hunger Day\u2019 in the city. KEY will have stalls setup at significant locations like Kizhakkekotta, Thampanoor, Manaveeyam Veethi, Shankhumugham, Medical College, and Palayam. They look forward for contribution from fellow beings. The stalls will run through the day from 9.00 am-4.00 pm. Food packets (home cooked or bought) can be handed over to these stalls (till 12.00 pm) and the same shall be distributed to the needy.\u00a0 <\/span>You can also contribute ration (rice, lentils, fruits, coconut etc.) till 4 in the evening.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The event shall follow the green protocol and thus requests everyone to avoid contributing plastic food packets. They look forward to serving anyone who finds themselves hungry on this day thus setting an example of humanity. <\/span><\/p>\n Let no stomach rumble. Let no man go to bed on an empty stomach, at least for a day.
