The capital city is all set for the third edition of Trivandrum Marathon on December 9th.<\/p>\n
Trivandrum Marathon is organised by Trivandrum Runners Club(TRaCs) in association with the\u00a0Indian Medical Association\u00a0– Kerala chapter. This year\u2019s cause is to promote ‘Healthy Living and Organ Donation’.<\/p>\n
A speciality of the event this year is that the\u00a0marathon\u00a0will start at midnight. The organizers also aim to drive home another message, of a Safe Trivandrum, through the event.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
“Despite the odd timing, we have taken all steps to ensure maximum participation,” said Sujith K M Vaidyan, convener of the event. A street festival will be organized on\u00a0Manaveeyam Veedhi\u00a0as part of the programme.<\/p>\n
Choose your Race<\/h2>\n
Trivandrum Marathon will have two races-\u00a0 a half marathon that covers 21.09km and a full marathon which covers 42.19Km. There is also a special 2km fun run to encourage public participation will also be held at 10 pm.<\/p>\n
Route<\/h2>\n
The Route: The run will have a loop of 10.5km: Manaveeyam- LMS – Ayurveda College Jn. – LMS -Vellayambalam- TTC -Vellayambalam-Sasthamangalam-Manaveeyam.<\/p>\n
