Hip Hop culture has been growing in the State and Trivandrum stands nowhere behind. The Roots community in Trivandrum takes it a step ahead by spreading awareness through art.<\/p>\n
Unlike any other dance crew, The Roots community are a bunch of artists who use their art to voice their thoughts and spread the word of love. They work together and organise \u2018battles\u2019 and \u2018jams\u2019 within the city, which provides local artists with a platform to grow and showcase their art.<\/p>\n
The Roots community is the brainchild of Nithin Ar and Vidhun Raj, which then grew into a crew of 8 members. They have organised awareness programs using their art in various schools in and around Trivandrum. \u2028Travancore National School (Thirumala) and YMCA Vikas School played host to the special events organised by the crew. These two schools had them perform for their Autistic kids and spent a day of jollity with them. \u201cKeep Your Soul Fresh Vol1\u201d and \u201cBreathe Your Style In Vol1\u201d are the jams which they have embarked to provide an opportunity for the upcoming dancers in the city.<\/p>\n
The Roots community is open to all artists, be it a singer, writer or painter. All that one needs to have is love and zest for art, to be part of this community. This like-minded, enthusiastic bunch are in search of members and sponsors who are willing to help them grow and spread their roots to bigger projects which will help them to reach out to a larger audience. \u2028\u2028This is how they let art and heart meet:<\/p>\n
