We thought we never see a smaller tablet from Apple. Apple has already sent out invites for an event on October 23rd<\/sup>\u00a0where it is expected to unveil the new smaller version of the iPad. The invite states “We’ve got a little more to show you<\/strong>” and it’s widely expected to be centred on a new iPad with a 7.8-inch display. It is expected that the third generation iPad will get a modest update including an A6 Processor and the newly launched lighting connector from the iPhone 5<\/a> and also a 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) support. Apple has been expected to launch the iPad mini<\/strong> to fend of competition from its rival companies which include Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Google<\/a>, which launched the Google Nexus 7 tablet a few months back. Although it\u2019s hard to believe that Apple<\/a> is going to launch a mini slate, because its late leader, Steve Jobs<\/a> who once openly criticised the 7-inch tablets saying \u201cThe 10-inch screen size is the minimum size required to create great tablet apps. 7-inch tablets are tweeners: too big to compete with a smart phone, and too small to compete with an iPad.\u201d But with 7 inch tablets becoming more and more popular among people and performing extremely well in terms of sales, it is believed that, Apple may have changed their mind. The iPad mini rumou<\/em>rs<\/em><\/strong>emerged just after Barnes and Noble launched its Nook range of tablets. Also online retailer giant Amazon is all set to launch its new Kindle Fire HD tablets at the end of the month.<\/p>\n

The new iPad Mini<\/strong> is expected to hit the market from November 2<\/strong>, just in time for the Pre-Christmas rush. This Christmas holiday shopping season is going to be an \u2018Ultimate Fighting Championship\u2019 of tablets, with Microsoft’s Surface and the Google’s Nexus tablet.\u00a0The miniature iPad will be priced at around $250-$300<\/strong> which is about Rs14000\/- to Rs17000\/<\/strong>-.<\/p>\n
