Kerala police at the Trivandrum international Airport<\/strong> have been accused of asking stranded passengers to drink urine. The incident took place after Kochi bound Air India Express flight IX 4522 that departed from Abu Dhabi landed on Trivandrum on Thursday evening. One of the passengers on IX 4522 said a Kerala police staff asked him to drink urine through gesture when a passenger requested drinking water.<\/p>\n

The passenger said that the water was for a 6 month old baby who was thirsty after the flight was stranded at Trivandrum International Airport<\/em> for more than 10 hours. Passengers said that both the security and the Air India staff treated the passengers very badly at the Trivandrum Airport.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was no food or water provided for several hours after the flight landed in Trivandrum<\/a>. It was pretty hot inside the cabin as the air conditioners were also switched off,\u201d the passenger complained<\/p>\n

The flight which was scheduled to depart from Abu Dhabi, at 09:15PM local time, only took off after a long three and a half hour delay at 12:55AM.The flight was supposed to land at Kochi at 3:30AM but was redirected to Trivandrum due to bad weather at Cochin airport. The flight arrived at Trivandrum at 6.30AM and then it was stranded at the Trivandrum Airport for more than 10hours.The flight finally took off from Trivandrum International Airport at 3PM and landed at Kochi an hour later.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had children as young as one month old and a few pregnant women on the flight. One of the passengers was even assaulted,\u201d said a passenger on-board IX 4522.<\/p>\n

Many of the passengers said that they would never fly Air India ever again. \u201cThey might as well kill the company. They are almost taking it towards that direction,\u201d said another passenger.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Kerala Police have filed cases against 6 passengers, accusing them for breaking into the cockpit of flight IX 4522 and threatening the pilot.<\/p>\n

An emergency situation was declared at Trivandrum International airport after Air India Express flight IX 4522 pilot Captain Rupali Waghmare sent a false hijack alarm<\/a> that alerted all Indian airports after she feared that the angry passengers were trying to storm into the cockpit.<\/p>\n

Passengers travelling to Kochi from Abu Dhabi finally managed to reach their destination after an ordeal of 19 hours after their scheduled departure.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
