For many years Infosys was a dream destination for the IT professionals, now the latest labor turnover figures shows that the company is losing employees at a fast rate. Along with Infosys, Wipro Ltd is also beginning to lose out on retaining their staff. In industry terms, this is a clear indication that the IT professionals in the technology sector are reading quarterly earning closer than before.

For the three months ended September, Infosys’s employee drop rate was 20%. According to the recruiting agencies, the low hike in salary and the sudden decrease in the company’s revenue are sighted as the main reasons for the low employee retention rate. The highest employee drop rate was reported by HCL Technologies Ltd, a company that boasts of an “employees first” motto. HCL reported an attrition rate of 25.3% but much reduced from the 36.4% it reported in 2010.

Meanwhile country’s largest IT company TATA Consultancy Services(TCS) reported the lowest employee drop rate of 13.1%.That’s nearly 7% points lower than what it reported for the same quarter two years ago. Cognizant Technology Solution (CTS), the attrition rate dropped from 21.8% in September 2010 quarter to 12.1% in the June quarter.

According to an “employee surveys” conducted by online networking site Glassdoor.com, the companies growing faster are rated ahead of the laggards. Glassdoor.com rating also shows that, only 38% and 20% of Infosys and Wipro employees, respectively, approve of their chief executives. For TCS, the Glassdoor rating for its CEO is 100%, and for Cognizant Technology, its 82%.The ratings are based on feedback from select staff and not the total employee base.

Also Read:

Send Free SMS in India

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Price in India and Specifications

The Indian IT giant, Infosys is struggling to regain their lost momentum in revenue growth.
