The Trivandrum chapter of Kerala Startups was officially launched yesterday at a meeting held at Technopark, Trivandrum. In the meeting in which over 40 entrepreneurs attended, an ad-hoc committee to organize the future plans was constituted. Dr K.C.\u00a0Chandrasekharan Nair, secretary and registrar Technopark TBI and Sri Babu Mohanan, Mentor and Angel investor\u00a0were among the notable personalities who attended the meeting.<\/p>\n
During the meeting which started at 10:30AM, issues faced by the start-ups, pointers on how they can help one another to iron-out the problems and how to attract investors to the projects were discussed in detail.\u00a0“We have investors, and we have inventors, but there is a gap between them. We are forming this group to fill the gap.<\/em>” Babu Mohanan said. Though the meeting was supposed to be one-hour long, the discussions went on until 1\u2019o clock.<\/p>\n The Trivandrum chapter of Kerala start-ups will act as a one-stop agency geared to provide all the help and support a start-up needs and also to guide an entrepreneur who wants to launch an enterprise. The committee will also liaise with government and other sectors to take-up their projects and distribute them among the companies in the group. Besides IT and ITES companies, the group will also include sectors like Construction, Health care, Legal etc.<\/p>\n
