The Bollywood Director Karan Johar, producer Gauri Khan were slapped with criminal case for allegedly hurting the religious feelings of people. In the Johar film ‘Student of the Year<\/a>‘, the mythological figure Radha was referred as ‘sexy’ in a song.<\/p>\n

A voluntary organisation ‘Shri Vision Social Empowerment and Welfare Association’ moved a petition before the Judicial First Class Magistrate against Johar, Shreya Ghoshal, Udit Narayan, Gouri Khan, lyricist Anvita Dutt, music director Vishal Shekhar and other artists of Dharma Production and Sony Music.<\/p>\n

The petitioners appealed to the court that the derogatory word should be dropped from the song and appropriate action taken against the team. A FIR was lodged against them under section 295 (A) (hurting religious sentiments) of Indian Penal Code.<\/p>\n
