On October 31st, the last date for early bird registration about 2500 establishments were registered. More than half of this number registered online.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from registering this\u00a0establishment, Coupons can also be ordered through the payment gateway. Last year ordering coupons was a time consuming process. Also retailers making use of the online facility will receive a discount of 5%.<\/p>\n<p>In comparison to 2007-2008, the growth and branding of GKSF has been remarkable. While in 2007-2008, the state government had given Rs 15 crore and the budget was set at Rs 40 crore, this year the government budgeted Rs 25 crore and the expenditure is thought to touch Rs 66 crore.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>GKSF<\/strong><\/em> state co-coordinator, V Vijayan said that they were Hoping to raise this money by means of coupon sales, registration and sponsors.At least 1 crore coupons are expected to be sold this year.<\/p>\n<p>GKSF is holding talks with top automobile brands for the sponsorship purpose. Gifts of the order of Kerala hand loom, craft products and 1gm gold will feature in this year&#8217;s scratch and win card. The global village exhibition in an area over 1 Lakh square feet with international and national participants is another plus point.<\/p>\n<p>The 48 day fete will begin on December 15, 2012.
