Nine year old Tanishq Abraham<\/strong> <\/em>is a budding child prodigy. One third of the credits needed for a college degree is already in his kit. He is pursuing degree at the American River College in Sacremento, California as a part time student.<\/p>\n

Tanishq joined the Mensa programme for gifted children at the age of four and half years. He was able to count to 100 at the age of 2. He scored 99.9 percentile at 4 and half years for the standardized intelligence test and was thus inducted into Mensa. He had to skip first grade even though he was capable of performing 4th <\/sup>and 5th<\/sup> grade mathematics .<\/p>\n

\"\"Recently , He was filmed in a bi- weekly You Tube series called \u2018Prodigies\u2019. He said in the video that he liked particle physics, anti-matter, the fate of the universe and the Big Bang. A child of 9 interested in particle physics is rightly called a wiz kid.<\/p>\n

Tanishq\u2019s father Bijou Abraham is a software professional and his mother Dr Taji Abraham is a doctor of veterinary medicine. Dr Taji accompanies him to college and sits in the back of the class. When videos not fit for children are shown in class, she will ask him to close his eyes.<\/p>\n

The child prodigy has now completed 24 units of the 60 needed for an associate degree. He completed two subjects each semester as he was not allowed to do more. His classmates are twice his age and yet he topped the class in astronomy and geology.<\/p>\n

Tanishq tapes lectures as he is not good at writing by hand though tyoing is not an issue. He has delivered lectures to others even at the age of 7.<\/p>\n

Media has not been\u00a0 kind to the kid and his family. They have criticized his parents for pushing him too far. But Bijou says that the kid was pushing them. Tanishq has a younger sister Tiara Thankam Abraham. She is also a child prodigy who was inducted into Mensa with a percentile of 98.8.<\/p>\n

Tanishq is currently at the middle school level. Both of the kids are home-schooled. Their parents teach them and charter school officials come and check their status once a month. The children did not want to attend school as they had to face certain difficult situations when they had tried earlier.<\/p>\n

Hindi is known to both the kids and they also watch Hindi movies often. Also ,though Tanishq has never been taught Malayalam, he knows his mother tongue too.<\/p>\n

Tanishq has many dreams but his most precious desire is to don the hat of a scientist. He also considers to be the President of \u00a0the United States.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
