It also gives parents a sense of relief that their children can contact police or any other emergency services when they are in trouble. The Safecomm, has 4 physical keys and it can make calls to only four numbers set by the parents. The cell phone doesn’t have a display screen and also lacks other features such as SMS facility, Internet or Camera.

However, the phone has an in-built GPS system which allows the parents to keep track on their children. To know the real-time location of their children, parents have to send an SMS to ‘Safecomm‘. A reply will be received shortly specifying the current location of their child. Safecomm also has a SOS button, which enables the children to get help during an emergency situation. When the SOS button is pressed, it dials all four numbers until one of them is answered. It will also send a message to all the numbers, signalling that the user needs help. The device protects the user from unwanted calls and the ‘HotKeys’ can only be configured only through parent’s mobile phone. Safecomm can also be used by old people who find it difficult to use the latest devices. They can use SOS button in the event of a medical emergency.

“The inspiration for Safecomm came from rising reports about crime against school children, girls and ladies. We wanted to come out with a solution where misusing mobiles can be avoided among school/college students. Safecomm is a completely safe device for students at all levels and the parents will have total peace of mind even if they are away from their kids”, Said Pradeep Viswambharan, MD & CEO of Accentia Technologies Ltd.

Price Details of Safecomm Mobile

Safecomm will be launched on November 15 and is priced at Rs2999.
