There is a huge list of FOSS products defeating their proprietary alternatives ( Wikipedia over Britannica, Linux over other OSs, Mozilla Firefox over other browsers\u2026).<\/p>\n<p>Many Corporates, recognizing that FOSS is out to conquer the future, is voluntarily switching to and supporting it. Google, System 76, Apple, Yahoo,etc. The ripples of this new revolution get strengthened by the introduction of Open Source License like GPL, Apache, BSD, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Its usually told that geeks have no religion. Well, FOSS is the new religion for geeks. Yes, Geeks are set out to create that world with no walls and fences.<\/p>\n<p>A non-commercial FOSS community, <strong>FOSS<\/strong>, organizes and conducts an annual tech-fest since 2001. This event focused on FOSS development and contribution, is unique and one among the bests of its kind. This event is a platform for Developers, students and FOSS supporters all over India to meet, learn, share and moreover support the pragmatic philosophy of Open Source.
