Last week KTM launched the KTM Duke 390<\/strong><\/em> at the EICMA Motorcycle Show 2012 and now it is confirmed that the KTM Duke 390<\/strong> is on its way to India. According to KTM’s website<\/a> Duke 390 is displayed in the Indian section of the website with a \u201ccoming soon\u201d banner.<\/p>\n

KTM Duke Launch Date in India<\/h3>\n

The Duke 390 is expected to launch in India by March 2013<\/strong> and it will be the second KTM bike to be sold in the country after Duke 200. The bike will be built at Bajaj Auto\u2019s Chakan manufacturing facility and will come with high level of localization, including a smaller 200cc engine.<\/p>\n

The Duke 390<\/strong> is similar to the Duke 200 but the main differentiating factor is the bigger engine. Other than the \u201c390\u201d sticker on the fuel tank and bright trademark KTM orange paint for the trellis frame, there is no way you can tell them apart. The sharing of vehicle parts between multiple bikes helps in reducing the cost.<\/p>\n

The KTM Duke 390<\/span> is powered by a water-cooled 373.2 cc DOHCc engine that can deliver 44HP of horsepower at 9,500rpm and 35Nm of torque at 7,250rpm.The bike weighs only 136Kg which produces a phenomenal power-to-weight ratio of 316.5PS\/tonne. It is integrated to 6 speed gear box. The Duke 390 can hit 100 km\/hr in less than 7 seconds and has a top speed of 170Km\/hr. The Indian version of KTM Duke 390 will have ABS.<\/p>\n
