The Trade Show the second of its kind Vyapaar 2012<\/a> is on anvil and Mr. Siji Nair, the Managing Director-One Roof India explains what Vyapaar is and how it will support the public and private sector.<\/p>\n

What is Vyapaar 2012?<\/strong>
\nVyapaar is an initiative by One Roof India & MetroMart to promote trade in our region in the most powerful way. It is a complete trade show on technology, electronics, tourism, textiles and infrastructure. Vyapaar provides manufacturers, retailers, and distributors with a unique platform to explore opportunities. Vyapaar 2012 will host a diverse range of products, suppliers and service providers, ready to discuss and demonstrate their technology and expertise. The exhibition covers a wide array of communication applications, systems and components, attracting a large number of experts and professionals looking for business solutions. Participants will have the chance to meet one-on-one with potential partners to discuss cooperation possibilities and sign business deals. The event will be held from 19th\u00a0to 23rd\u00a0December ‘2012 at Mascot Hotel, Thiruvananthapuram.<\/p>\n

How would Thiruvananthapuram benefit by Vyapaar?<\/strong>
\nThere are enquiries from leading brands to expand their operations to Thiruvananthapuram as it is the capital city. During Vyapaar, the city\u2019s social, cultural, and economic aspects would be experienced by the visitors and this would enable them to take a call on establishing their business in the city. Over 100 exhibitors and 10000+ trade visitors are expected to visit the event. Most of them would be from outside Thiruvananthapuram. Would there be any new launches in the show?<\/strong>
\nProducts on latest advertising, LED, cost-effective mobiles, laptops, smart phones, antivirus software, home appliances, magazines, search engines, Toys, etc. are to be launched at the trade show.<\/p>\n

How have you promoted the show to make it a success?<\/strong>
\nThe ongoing advertising campaign was started six months back. Campaign on radio, television and newspaper has been scheduled. Outdoor promotions like banners, posters, flyers, advertisement hoardings\u00a0have already started, which have met with good response. Far-reaching\u00a0promotional road shows in Trivandrum, Kollam, Kochi, Nagercoil\u00a0& Kanyakumari is also planned to create awareness about Vyapaar 2012. Fifty\u00a0lakhs E-brochures\/newsletters\u00a0have been distributed so far. There has been extensive online presence. Getit Infoservices and India mart are leading online campaigns across India for the trade show.\u00a0Vyapaar partners are Doordarshan, Club FM, Metromart, Indiamart, DC Media, Kerala Development Media, EnteCity<\/a>, Gurukul, Live Web Casting, Oneman Show, Asian Traveller, Mart etc. All these companies are doing an excellent job to promote Vyapaar 2012.<\/p>\n

Have you received any support from public and private sector?<\/strong>
\nThe Kerala government has provided unmitigated support for Vyapaar 2012. Thanks to the Ministry of Industries, Tourism and IT for their support and cooperation. Technopark is organizing two seminars in connection with Vyapaar. We are getting a huge response from private sector as well\u00a0for Vyapaar 2012.<\/p>\n

At Vyapaar trade show, would there be any contests or awards?<\/strong>
\nQuiz competition and painting contests are to be held for school and college students at Vyapaar 2012. Also, we have decided to highlight the excellence that exists in areas like overall business,\u00a0innovative ideas,\u00a0young entrepreneurship, Technology, Textiles, Electronics and Infrastructure. It\u00a0is important to recognize them as it\u00a0inspires other people to do their best. They set standards that people strive to match and exceed.\u00a0Vyapaar award highlights the appreciation of the hard work, effort and achievement.<\/p>\n

Your future plans?<\/strong>
\nWe thank all the participants who made Gurukul 2012 \u2013 our second edition of Education, Career and Placement Expo \u2013 a grand success. This has inspired us to organize the third edition of Gurukul in different locations in Kerala. Franchising is another area that we are focusing with long-term vision. We are also planning to expand our Property Asset Management Department as well. This is a unique project of ours that helps NRIs and others to manage their assets.
