So what else is new you may ask- there are umpteen number of restaurants dotting the landscape of Trivandrum city. What attracts the eye to the new arrival is its name \u2018Usthad Hotel\u2019 \u2013Yes, the title of the hit movie starring Dulquar Salman and Thilakan. As you know \u2018Usthad Hotel\u2019 is about an aged grandfather and his grandson bonding together while running a beach side hotel.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5561\" style=\"width: 267px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5561\" class=\"wp-image-5561  \" title=\"Usthad Hotel Pettah \" src=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/files\/2012\/12\/usthad-hotel-pettah-trivandrum.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"257\" height=\"344\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-5561\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Usthad Hotel Pettah<\/p><\/div>\n<p>When Shine Chandran and Shin Chandran two brothers and their cousin Shaju Sajeev watched \u2018Usthad Hotel\u2019, they were so inspired by the movie that they decided to start a new eatery with the same name. The name board of the restaurant has the same colour scheme and fonts used in the movie.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe movie touched a chord in our lives and inspired us to start the eatery with the same name.\u201d say the brothers. \u201cWe are just a week old yet we have garnered ourselves a decent crowd. In fact, we have quite a few regulars who are like old friends,\u201d says Shin.<\/p>\n<p>Their love for food and flair for cooking gave courage to venture into this business. All of them can cook well, especially Shine. The brothers said when they opened the restaurant; they wanted to stay true to the movie as far as possible. Like in the film, they gave emphasis on naadan food like Biriyanis that are quite popular amongst customers. The restaurant also serves Chinese cuisine like fried rice, noodles and chicken Manchurian. The look of satisfaction after they complete their meal is our manna.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The brothers hope that one day, the team behind the film \u2018Usthad Hotel\u2019 will drop by their hotel as the restaurant is located on the road from airport.\u201dWe hope that one of them will notice the restaurant and stop by.
