Recently Royal Enfield showcased its 2014 Cafe Racer<\/strong> at the ‘Long Beach Motorcycle Show’ held in California. It was first launched in 2012 Auto Expo in India but was overshadowed by the unveiling of their new Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500.<\/p>\n

The Royal Enfield Continental GT Cafe Racer<\/strong> sports a new chassis with a round single-unit headlamp, elongated fuel tank and a clip-on handlebar. It also has a selection of performance upgrades and Cafe Racer styled parts you won’t find on any other motorcycle in their line-up.<\/p>\n

Royal Enfield\u2019s Caf\u00e9 Racer has a four-stroke, single-cylinder, 535cc fuel injected engine, which delivers a power output of 36bhp<\/strong>. Unlike a traditional Royal Enfield, Cafe Racer<\/em> has a leaned-in riding position which will help in better handling. The bike has a chromed cigar shape exhaust, a single seat and a rectangular tail-light with aluminium mudguards. Other features include twin-spar tubular steel frame, telescopic forks upfront and a set of gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear.<\/p>\n

The bike measure 2089mm long, 692mm wide and 1054mm high and has a kerb weight of 187 kg. Royal Enfield claims that the Caf\u00e9 Racer is 21kg lighter than its other 500s. The bike will be equipped with a single disc brake in the front and rear. The company also offers a wide range of accessories such as two different exhaust systems, cafe and clubman handlebars, aluminium fenders instead of plastic, aluminium upper and lower triple brackets etc. Royal Enfield Cafe Racer is expected to hit the Indian showrooms sometime early year with price tag of Rs 2.5 to 3 lakh.<\/p>\n
