The inauguration of the beautification work of the beach will be done by Minister A.P. Anil Kumar on 15th January.<\/p>\n<p>The beach located at the east side of the Vettukad church will be modernized at a cost of Rs 55 Lakh by the District Tourism council. The beach is a favourite place for both pilgrims and tourists who visit the place. Currently, there are no facilities for the people to sit and relax in the beach area. Also public convenience facilities such as toilets, restaurants are inadequate.<\/p>\n<p>The beach beautification scheme includes landscaping of the beach, constructing a play area, installation of street-lights and a walkway extending from the main road to the beach filled with beautiful flowers on both sides. A number of park benches will be put in place for the people to sit and relax. There will also be a parking facility that can accommodate more than 100 two-wheelers and cars.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier similar beautification work was implemented in places near <a href=\"http:\/\/listing.entecity.com\/business\/attukal-bhagavathy-temple-trust\" target=\"_blank\">Attukal Bhagavathy Temple<\/a> and Beemapally Mosque.<\/p>\n<p>The beautification work will be completed in 3 months. Once the beautification work is completed, it will be a new hangout place for the city residents.
