Samsung is offering a new version of the Chromebox Series 3<\/em><\/strong>, a mini-desktop computer designed to run Google\u2019s Chrome operating system. Unlike earlier models, the new model XE300M22-A01US is powered by a 2.5GHz, Sandy Bridge-era dual-core chip.<\/p>\n

The Chromebox is a fast, compact home or office computer which runs on Google Chrome OS<\/a>. Google claims that, the Chromebox boots up in just 7 seconds and wakes from sleep in 1 second by simply pressing a button.<\/p>\n

With Chromebox, You’ll never see a blue screen<\/a> and all the software updates are done automatically. The Chromebox also has a flexible display meaning it can support up to two 30 inch monitors and is HD compatible.<\/p>\n

Samsung’s Chromebox<\/strong> looks very much like an Apple Mac mini<\/a>, with same 7.6-inch-square footprint, rounded corners and a silver rim. It has a thickness of 1.3 inches and has an Aluminium shell.<\/p>\n

On the front panel there is a power switch \/ indicator light that glows blue, a 3.5mm combination headphone \/ mic jack and a two USB ports. Whereas on the back panel there is a grounded AC socket, four USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet, two Display Port connectors and a single link DVI output. There’s also a large air vent in the rear.<\/p>\n

Chromebox features a second-generation Intel Core i5-2450M processor with HD Graphics 3000. The new version also features 4GB of RAM, 16GB of Solid State Drive (SSD) storage, USB 2.0 ports, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.<\/p>\n
