Apparently, they would go to any extent to catch maximum eyeballs. An instance of this one-upmanship relates to the controversial interview of V.S Achuthanandan by Unni Balakrishnan for <a title=\"Mathrubhumi Group to enter Visual Media\" href=\"http:\/\/news.entecity.com\/mathrubhumi-group-to-enter-visual-media\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mathrubhumi News Channel<\/a>. Hours before Mathrubhumi\u2019s telecast, <strong>Indiavision stole their thunder by leaking the exclusive interview<\/strong> and giving excerpts as breaking news.<\/p>\n<p>In the interview V.S Achuthanandan had said that <strong>he was dropped from the CPM Politburo a few years back for telling the truth<\/strong> about a corruption case in which state Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan was facing inquiry.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I was dropped from the PB for telling the truth that the deal with SNC Lavalin involved irregularity.It was the finding of the CAG. This was not a case framed to harm anybody.&#8221; VS Achuthanandan,told the news channel.<br \/>\nWhile giving the controversial statements as breaking news, Indiavision has however acknowledged that the interview was given by VS for another channel.<\/p>\n<p>For Mathrubhumi News Channel which was set to give other channels a run for their money, this has been a major blow. Interestingly, a similar situation has been shown in the 2012 blockbuster Mohanlal film \u2018<a href=\"http:\/\/movies.entecity.com\/films\/run-baby-run-2012\/\" target=\"_blank\">Run Baby Run<\/a>\u2019 where the inaugural exclusive of a news channel was hijacked by another competitor.<\/p>\n<p>Kerala already has 6 news channels with one more channel called \u201c<strong>Media One<\/strong>\u201d of Madhyamam set to join the league.
