Fortunately, the authorities have decided to get rid of all unauthorized structure. Recently, Trivandrum city police launched an initiative to keep city roads safe and the district-level Traffic Advisory Committee is planning a major drive to clear out these unauthorized structure which include flex-boards, posters, bunk shops and parking. The final decision will be taken at a meeting which will be convened by Health Minister V S Sivakumar.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Rehabilitation of evicted traders will also be the part of the project. &#8220;We are exploring the possibility of establishing evening markets for their benefit.\u201d \u00a0Said the collector<\/p>\n<p>The initiative by the Traffic Advisory Committee will support the drive launched by City Police to enforce traffic rules.\u00a0 The <strong>Trivandrum Road Development Company Ltd (TRDCL)<\/strong> has repeatedly asked the corporation to remove hoardings and other illegal structures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Footpaths in the city pose an everyday challenge to pedestrians, with parked cars, hoardings and bunk shops.
