The project will be implemented under the joint initiative of the Union Ministries of Railways and <a href=\"http:\/\/entecity.com\/tourism\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tourism<\/a>. A pre-bid meeting of architects, who are keen on designing the project, was held at the Divisional Railway office at Thycaud last month. 18 architects\/representatives of architectural firms and senior officials of the railway division were present at the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Building of shopping complex, cloak room facilities with individual lock facility for tourists, modern pay &amp; use toilets, rest room facilities for both ladies and gents, waiting rooms and retiring rooms with modern furniture and enough benches for waiting passengers, passenger guidance system and setting up of international tourist bureaus, executive lounges of international standard, food plazas with multi-cuisine food are the facilities which will come up under the scheme.<\/p>\n<p>50 selected railway stations across the country will be upgraded to world class.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a lag of 6 years, railways are reconsidering the plan to make Trivandrum Central Railway station a world-class station.
