Honda Cars India limited<\/strong> has launched the fourth-generation CR-V<\/strong> which will be cheaper by up to Rs 2.7 lakh from the previous model. The CR-V was first launched in India in 2003 as an important model and since sold 13,700 units. The new CR-V<\/strong> is slightly shorter than the old model however it offers a wider and more spacious cabin with more storage spaces.<\/p>\n

The new CR-V comes with 2 engine options -a 2.0-litre petrol and an 185bhp 2.4-litre petrol engine. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic gearbox.<\/p>\n

Honda claims that the engines have been tweaked for better performance and fuel economy.<\/p>\n

There are 4 variants on offer. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The base 2.0L MT comes with a six-speed manual gearbox, 17-inch alloy wheels, 6 airbags, a multi-info display, fog lamps,\u00a0 dual zone A\/C and an integrated audio system with CD\/MP3\/USB and iPod connectivity.<\/p>\n

The 2.0L AT variant comes with all the features of 2.0L MT but also gets a 5-speed automatic gearbox with hill start assist and a foot-type parking brake.<\/p>\n

The next variant, the 2.4L AT is packed with a 2.4-litre petrol motor with 185bhp. It has a five-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, 4WD sunroof, HID lamps with washer and outer door handles with chrome trim.<\/p>\n

The last and the high end variant is the 2.4L (AVN). It has all the features of the 2.4AT and gets a 6.1-inch touch screen with Navigation, hands-free phone connectivity and DVD\/CD player with IPod, USB, and Bluetooth connectivity.<\/p>\n

All Honda CR-V variants come with steering-mounted audio controls, cruise control, standard reverse camera, a button-activated Econ-mode for a more fuel efficient drive and one touch folding rear seats.<\/p>\n
