For those who oppose, it is the time to challenge such atrocities and plan ahead for one soon. For kids, and those of us who keep the inner child alive, the 48-hour strike translates to two full days away from school or work! For the breadwinner of a family who depends solely on his daily wages, such ‘holidays’ become big question marks.

But there is yet another category of people about whom we never seem to bother. Yes, they are those whom we consider a nuisance- they ‘spoil our day’ by appearing in our door step, in foot paths, any nook and corner, with open palms and pathetic looks, always grumbling about hunger!

They do not have even the solace of a daily wage. They thrive on mercy. I wonder, what will they be doing on a harthal day like this? Even if they can manage to get some money, where will they get a morsel to kill their hunger?

A firm serving food to patients and their bystanders of Govt.
